Backness Mk II

Here I go again on my own, doing entries for the holiday et c... [/Whitesnake]

Thursday
Here's the plan again, in case anyone forgot it;
-Wake up at about 10am
-Eat pop-tarts for breakfast
-Go swimmin'
-Come home for a lunch of super noodles
-Go swimmin' again
-Come home for tea
-Drink
-Go to bed, (eventually)
Thursday more or less went along those lines. I can't actually remember much of Thursday, but I think we had to go shopping for some more milk and pudding for that evening. We got two tubs of Ben & Jerry's, 'cause by the time we remembered we were supposed to be getting pudding we were standing next to a freezer full of ice cream. We met Angela and Emma again in the pool at some point and Al spent all his time with them, Angela in particular, while me & Will & Matt kinda left them to it/fled. Oh yeah, that was the other thing that happened on Thursday. When we went swimmin' for the first time we noticed there was a great big tower with an enclosed bridge across to it and a flume coming out the side, which wasn't there the last time we went, being two years ago. We weren't sure what it was for, or whether we were supposed to be going into it, but we went across to it anyway. As we were climbing the stairs inside some guy shouted to us that it wasn't open yet, so we went back outside where another lifeguard came running and told us it'd be finished on Wednesday. That was all on Monday, and it wasn't done by Wednesday as promised, but it was open on Thursday. There was a massive queue for it, but we joined on the end anyway. That was the first thing we did when we got there on Thursday morning, but then the lifeguards started telling people we all had to go down to "the beach", (being the shallow end of the main pool), for two minutes silence after the London bombings. Now I'm not in any way opposed to people showing their respect and such like that, but it just gets to me when they try and force everyone to do it. Anyway, after that we hurried back up to the queue for this new thing and waited for about half an hour before getting to the top of the tower. It was basically just a great big flume that you go down on a raft, four people at a time. It was pretty good, but not really worth the long wait. Thursday night was spent guitaring again, I think, though I realised how early I'd have to be up the next day so I went off to bed fairly soon. My fingers are considerably more callused now, but that's partly the fault of the rapids.

Friday
We had to be out of the villa by 10 am, which is horribly early in my book but we managed it anyway. Dad left with all the luggage and stuff, plus Woody, but the four of us and mum stayed for one last swim. Plus Al had arranged to meet up with Angela. So Al set off to find her while the rest of us headed for the pool. He was going to come find us in there once he was done. Mum wanted to go on the big new raft thing, so we queued up for that again. This time it wasn't quite as long a wait, but it was still long enough for us to feel it wasn't really worth it. Al, Angela and Emma showed up and we stayed in the pool a bit longer before getting changed and going for lunch. Al stayed in with Angela though, while we ate at the pool's bar type effort. Sarah, Rokhi, Hannah & Beth were eatin' there too. I had to go find Al and tell him we were waiting for him. As we were leaving we went for a look around the toy shop, because we're all just kids at heart. Well I know I am. Hence the delighted squeal when I found a Lion King poster, which I immediately bought. I've been looking for one online for a while now, so yeah. I'm so bizarre. We bought Haribo for the journey home, even though it's only an hour or so. Al was determined to get to listen to some music he liked, so we put on a soul CD for him for half the trip then went back to Lynyrd Skynyrd. When we got back dad had been home for a few hours and had gone out shopping, since we'd got no food in the house. Mum took everyone home and I got to putting up the poster, which I think is awesome 'cause it's bigger than I thought. We're supposed to be redecorating my room at some point this summer, along with a load of other things. Like me getting a job, for instance. There was surprisingly little for me to catch up with online, but there's probably a lot about the 6th Form induction day(s) I missed. I'm going to town to meet someone comin' to Silverdale from all the way in Dronfield on Tuesday, for instance.

Today
Got woken up by the dog barking at summat, which is always annoying. I need a shower to get all this chlorine out of my hair, but eh...
